History: 5-year-old Thoroughbred gelding referred for advanced imaging due to traumatic injury to the left side of the head.

Diagnosis: Traumatic facial fractures centered at the left orbit involving the lacrimal, maxillary and zygomatic bones. Associated regional soft tissue hemorrhage, edema, and sinus hemorrhage.

Follow-up: The gelding was referred for surgical repair and healed very well.
