Asma Zariba Saadawi

Asma graduated from the University of Tripoli, Libya, with a Bachelor in Veterinary Science in 2008. She worked as an Equine Veterinarian in Libya and the Middle East, including for the Libyan Olympic Committee. After moving to the United States, Asma worked with Dr. Paula Horne, Hoof and Paw Veterinary Service, until Dr. Horne retired. She joined the VEI Team in 2026. She is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care and continually expanding her knowledge and skills in equine veterinary medicine.

When not working at Virginia Equine Imaging she can be found on the soccer field or swim deck supporting her kids, as well as traveling with her husband, kids and extended family.
